Our Frost Free ribbon cable has been developed specially for keeping (water) Pipework, stop cocks, waste pipes etc safe from freezing. 
This product offers an economic solution in situations where freezing and frost damage could lead to problems and expensive plumbers costs. 

The cable comes with a sealed UK plug and is ready to connect into an RCD protected socket.  At the end of the ribbon cable (should be placed in the coldest area) is a built in bi-metal thermostat.  The thermostat is activated when the pipe line temperature drops below 5ºC and switches off automatically when the pipe line temperature rises above 13ºC, this prevents pipes freezing and reduces the energy consumption to the minimum.

The cable is easily to fit to the pipework using the supplied PVC tape or plastic tie wraps.  It is recommended that if using on plastic or polythene pipes that you use Aluminum tape along where the cable is run.  Always insulate the pipework over the cable using a minimum 10mm wall thickness insulation.
